Wisconsin Governor considering legalization of prostitution, in brothels

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has been taking flack for not creating jobs as he promised. Wisconsin is seeing a growth in jobs but the rate of new jobs being added is lagging behind the national average. So rumor has it Governor Walker is considering a proposal to legalize prostitution, in brothels.

Governor Walker promoted a campaign of “Wisconsin: Open For Business” in a bid to attract new business to the state. But the jobs just have not been coming. That all might change if Wisconsin takes the advise of notorious brothel owner Dennis Hof.

Hof owns the “Bunny Ranch” seen on the HBO series “Cathouse”, and a number of other legal brothels in Nevada. Recently Dennis Hof has been trying to take his company public with an IPO. Unfortunately, according to a Walker office insider, financial analysis don’t see long term profits from a operation that can only legally operate in one state.

That was when Hof started to reach out to various states he knew could use a business growth. According to our insider Governor Walker was initially appalled by the idea, but then looked at the numbers and is now willing explore the possibilities.

Speaking on a condition of anonymity the insider said. “There are some tourism draws here in Wisconsin but they tend to be things for families. We need something that draws in high rollers. We have a number of Native American owned casinos, so if we had brothels close by that would draw in more big money.”

High rollers are not the only things the Walker administration sees. They see jobs. These brothels will need to be built by construction workers. The females working at the brothels are also new jobs and even security staffing. In addition brining in high rollers might mean additions to both casinos and hotels, again that means construction. Any additions to casinos and hotels will mean more employees working at these locations also.

Our Insider also stated that Dennis Hof has hinted at the idea of adult film production also. Which again Walker sees as jobs, camera people, sound people, editors, and all the other behind the scenes roles that go into a movie.

Brothels and film production would also require mandatory STD testing and physical check-ups. Meaning more jobs again. More medical doctors, phlebotomists, and lab technicians would all have to be hired to run these medical screenings.

All in all what initially seemed like an appalling idea is suddenly following the slogan “Wisconsin: Open for Business”. No word on when the Bill to approve legalization of prostitution will be introduced to the assembly but it is expected to be rushed through so establishments can be open by summer 2014.
