9/11 conspiracy theorist admits he does not believe in his own conspiracy theory

The persons assumed to be the originator of much of the 9/11 conspiracy theory movement has admitted he made it all up. Phil Malarkey admits to Call the Cops that he made it all up.

I sat down with Phil earlier in the week at a Starbucks.

“You see I was a computer science major, but I had to take this government class as a gen-ed credit. There was this real cute hippy-type girl in the class. I tried to ask her out but she said I was too mainstream, she only liked guys with edge.”

Phil then explains how in the weeks after 9-11 class discussions centered on attack. He said how one day this hippy girl, Gina was her name, said something about how the government likely knew about, or even helped, the attacks so they could have a war.

That night Phil decided to put up a little web page. At that time blogging and easy web site building did not exist. Have a web page was only for people who knew code, people like himself.

Phil had some rudimentary photoshop skills so he doctored up some photos and typed up some completely made up junk. When he shared the link with Gina he figured she would be impressed.

She was not. Gina saw it for what it was. A pathetic attempt to win her favor. Completely dejected Phil forgot about the web page.

“It was like three months later I got this email. It was from some anti government nut-job. He was praising my for ‘exposing the truth’ and wanted me to come talk at some camp he was hosting. I was beside myself that someone would believe something that was obviously made up.”

Phil explained he took the page down. Problem was that all kinds of other nut-jobs had copied his fiction and were redistributing it as fact.

“Over the years I have tried to get the word out that it was all made up. Problem is people looked at me like I was the moron for saying I know it is false due to I being the original author. Eventually I gave up.”

When asked about any final thoughts Phil said “I know deep down there were tons of heroes that day. I know bad people did this. I know the conspiracy theories are all BS. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Honor the fallen and remember them.”
