Rookie cop tells FTO to shove report writing up his A$$

Officer Joe Iuventas is currently suspended and might soon be fired for insubordination towards his field training officer, FTO. The young officer got into heated argument over the simple act of report writing.

The issue started overnight after Iuventas made his first DUI arrest. The officer has only been on the force for about four days now. Before last night he has only issued a few traffic citations.

According to reports the officer observed a car swerving in traffic just after bar time. A traffic stop was made and the driver admitted to drinking. Sobriety testing was completed and an arrest decision was made. As far as drunk driving arrests go this one was tame and somewhat by the book.

After the drunk was processed and bailed out, the fire works kicked off. Officer Iuventas wanted to go get breakfast at the Waffle House. His FTO said they would not take their meal break until after the reports were written. An argument started and eventually the sergeant had to separate the two before punches started to fly.

According to the rookie cop reports are useless with all the technology police have today.

“I don’t get why that idiot thinks we still need to write out lame reports. Our car has a dash camera, and I have on a body camera. The whole event was recorded from multiple angels with audio and video. Watch the dam movie, only people stuck in the past would write out five pages of reports.”

The FTO and the shift sergeant were not willing to go on record with CallTheCops. A photocopy of the alleged report Officer Iucentas tried to submit did somehow end up in this authors possession. That report simply said, “Saw drunk driver, stopped and arrested. See videos for the details.”

Apparently when the FTO told the rookie his report was not up to par, the rookie officer told his FTO to shove it up his ass. That was the point the argument started to go from verbal to approaching physical.

Officer Iuventas defends his stance on reports with what he calls facts and statistics.

“In the academy we spent over 60 hours learning to shoot. We also spent 60 hours on self-defense skills, and 40 hours on driving. You know how much time we spent learning to write reports? Four hours, yep half a day. If reports were so dam important, you would think the academy would have covered it in depth. They did not so… guess that makes me right.”

The chief did not return phone calls or emails before the time we went to press.
