NY making record pot busts in Seahawk V Broncos Super Bowl build up

The two states that have legalized marijuana have also this year made it to the Super Bowl. The Seattle Seahawks will face off against the Denver Broncos in New Jersey. Even with the game in New Jersey, many of the parties are in New York, and it seems someone should have told the fans New York is NOT offering reciprocity on legalized pot.

Law Enforcement spokespeople report a record number of pot busts. One source told us he had made more arrested this week for weed than he would make six months.

The week before the Super Bowl is known for being a party week in the host city. New York has been hosting many of these gatherings. Super Bowl ticket holders have been in town all week for various events.

With all these people and a venue like New York security is on high alert. Something like the Super Bowl is a terrorist dream target. So public safety has been pulling overtime like crazy to cover any and all events.

All the extra police coverage at major hotels and at every event cops can’t help but make busts. Officers would only talk to us off the record.

“It is like shooting fish in a barrel. You just walk down the hall in the hotel and smell it. Find where the smell is the strongest and knock on the door. Stoner opens the door. There it all is in plain view. Make the bust, and repeat the process.”

A different officer had this to say.

“I bet 60% of the guys I am busting tell me…but it is legal dude… yeah legal in other states but not here in New York. Stay home and watch it on TV if you need to smoke a bowl hippies”.

Officials from both teams and from the NFL had not replied to press requests.
