Federal Signals announced today they are developing a new siren tone to emulate the noise made by the Minion Carl. Minions are the lovable little twinkly looking people from the Despicable Me movies.
Bee-Do Bee-Do
In the movie Minions in fire helmets react to a fire on desk. One of the minions has a helmet with three flashing lights and a bullhorn. Into that bullhorn the Minion is yelling Bee-Do, Bee-Do, Bee-Do, Bee-Do.
Public Safety workers world wide have changed their Facebook profile photo to be Minion Carl with his red light helmet.
A search of YouTube turns up hundreds of results for clips of the Bee-Do tone.
A statement released by Federal Signals said they have gotten literally 25,000 requests from customers to make a siren with that Bee-Do tone. Federal Signals statement went on to say that there is no way they can make a “Q” siren with that Bee-Do tone but hope the 100 watt siren they are about to release will placate fans.
No word on pricing and shipping is expected to be sometime in early 2014.
