Firefighter looking forward to FDIC so he can finally eat at a Chick-Fil-A

Firefighter Josh Robinson from the North Point, WI fire district will be making his first trip to the Fire Department Instructor Conference, FDIC, this year. The conference takes place in Indianapolis, which also makes this Robinson’s first time outside Wisconsin.

Out of all the possible experiences of going to arguably the best conferences a firefighter can attend, Robinson is looking most forward to one thing. He wants to eat at a Chick-Fil-A restaurant.

“I keep hearing about this place on TV shows, in movies and every so often a friend who was traveling out of state. It sounds really good and I am need to start trying new things.”

The 32 year old firefighter told us how just last year he discovered a love for Mexican foods. “Last summer they opened a new gas station on Highway 15, with a Taco Bell inside it. I always assumed I did not like Mexican food, cuz I had never tried it before. Now I betcha I eat it twice a week.”

Chief Randy Pulaski was surprised Robinson requested to be one of the firefighters making the trip to FDIC this year.

“I have known Josh most of his life. That kid lived with his mom and dad till he got married. For a wedding gift our crew got him Green Bay Packer tickets. He considered a weekend in the Green Bay Super 8 his Honeymoon. I don’t think he has even been more than two hours from where he was born.”

Off the record the Chief added he was also looking forward to eating at Chick-Fil-A.

We will keep you updated as to how Firefighter Robinson’s trip goes.
