Open any police magazine. Goto any police related web page. Look at the brochures for any Criminal Justice program. Chances are you will see officer [redacted].
“I am the face of I don’t know how many online Criminal Justice bachelor degree programs. I think nearly every Masters degree in Criminal Justice or Public Administration uses me. I have even saw my photo on one PhD program for police administration. In reality I only have an Associates degree and it is in Nursing.”
Officer [redacted] says she got interested in become a police officer after working in the ER. Talking with officers who brought victims and suspects into the hospital, caused her to apply to the local PD.
“I can’t go to any conferences of conventions. Everyone recognizes me. What makes it even worse is they all think I am a graduate of the school they say my photo associated with. Typically it is because they are an alumnus of that school. People ask about my favorite class or best professor I ever had. Then they get mad at me and think I am stuck up when I try to explain I did not goto that college.”
Getting accused of being stuck up is the least of Officer [redacted] problems. “The guys hitting on me is almost beyond reproach. They tell me how they fell in love the first time they saw my photo. That is the nice ones. Some odd sickos want to tell me all about how they have used my image as an aid for, shall we say self help. It gets disgusting because they think I am now going to be willing to hook up with them.”
Worst of all she did the photo for free. It was a favor to a friend who was writing an article for a police magazine. The article never got printed. So he uploaded the photo to various stock photo service websites. She has no clue home much he has earned off her image but, knows he recently got a new very expensive car.
