Release of Captain Willie Wines line of Mustache Wax delayed indefinitely

Captain Willie Wines from Ironfiremen.com is famous for both his keen observations about the fire service and his epic mustache. If you were lucky to meet him at FDIC you might have gotten a sample of his new line of mustache wax called Working Irons Mustache Wax.

A prototype of the Working Irons Wax

We announced the product preview here on CallTheCops two weeks ago.

Captain Wines was hoping to diversify his personal brand. Currently he is a well-regarded blogger and public speaker. Knowing that much of his fame is derived from his facial hair, a line of grooming products seemed a natural fit.

Unfortunately the full production run of his product has an indefinite shipment delay. The cause for this shipping delay? The manufacturing plant used for production is (was) Ukrainian.

“I wanted to make this right here in the good old USA. But some business expert talked me into doing a low cost production run. He said if the first batch sells out then we set up a shop here at home. Brother, I tell you, I should never have listened to that so called expert.”

A plant in the Ukraine was settled on after it was found they had a positive reputation in creating male grooming products. Then in a recent round of political upheaval and rioting, that facility and accompanying warehouse got burned to the ground.

The Captain tells us. “The insurance people are calling the fire an act of civil disobedience, something that is not covered by the policy. So now we will regroup and start to figure out what plan B will look like.”

As of right now there is no anticipated date when a second try at a production run will take place. Willie though assured us when/if his Working Irons Mustache Wax does become a reality it will be a 100% American made product.

“You know brother, last time I listen to a business expert on how I could save a few bucks… it ended up biting me in the ass. Next time we are doing this right by having it be American made.”

CalltheCops does not have a budget to send a reporter to the Ukraine to interview the burned out warehouse manager. Our Emails to the warehouse management have so far gone unanswered.
