Fire & EMS workers disciplined for drinking “Beer Water” on duty

Texas fire and EMS workers are in trouble for drinking on duty. Problem is they say it was not alcohol it was water.

In the wake of the flooding in Texas many beer distributors stopped bottling beer and started making water. The cans still carry the logo of the beer company.

Mayor Mike Biggs says he does not care what is in the can the logo is important. “I can’t have on duty pubic safety workers holding something with a beer logo. We have citizens who can’t read, or can’t read english. They know that logo is for beer. So they see our guys with that can they will assume the employees are drinking on duty time.”

According to a fire department spokes person all the offending firefighters and paramedics will be given a one week suspension later in the year.
